Wedding plans!

Okay so this has been a really annoying ordeal wondering when the day is going to be. Well we still don't know but there is a hint of light, Steve still hasn't written his letter for the sealing cancellation so my bishop decided to just go ahead with the process, the probability of it going through by Aug. 14 is about 50/50. Well because of the fact that we arn't for sure it will go through by then, and we need to get announcments out and we have family out of state that want to attend we are going to make our announcements for the reception only and that is for sure going to be on Aug. 14. I know it will be kind of weird to have a reception if we aren't quite married but if we aren't married on Aug. 14, we will be within a few days of it! So that is the plan! Finally an update on life!

Sorry it has taken me so long to update my blog. Life has been busy, Mylee graduated from her first year of preschool, Kenleigh and Mykenzie graduated from kindergarten I am still longing for the day I will graduate from college, and Matt has decided to go back to college and get his masters. Mylee has been with her dad in Idaho for the past two week, she will still be gone for two more weeks. :( I can't even explain how hard this has been, Mylee is very anxious to come home, I am more than anxious for that day.) We are still waiting for the sealing cancellation so as far as a wedding date, we are hoping for Aug. 14. but only time can tell. Anyway, here are some new pics.

The waiting game

So many of you have asked me if we have picked a wedding date yet, well we are still currently playing the waiting game, I am still waiting for my temple sealing cancellation from my ex-husband to go through, these things can unfortunately take a while. So as of a date, we don't quite know yet, but we are hoping for August sometime. I will keep you updated.

New title for the blog

Sorry i have been so bad at blogging lately, life has kept me pretty busy. So anyway i decided it was time for me to rename my blog. Since this blog will now be under management by 5 people rather than just 2 I have been trying to search for catchy quotes as well as ideas for a catchy title, well I found an awesome quote that I included, in which i love, but a catchy title to go along with it just isn't coming to me, so as of now it is as written, but I am not completely satisfied, if anyone has any fun ideas, i would appreciate it!

I am engaged!!!!

So as many of you know i am engaged and happier than ever!! I have been asked to tell the story about it by a few people, so here it is...
Matt proposed to me on Valentines day, about 3 weeks before valentines we had talked about valentines day and decided that we both thought valentines was a lame holiday, and that love shouldn't need a designated day to show someone you love them, so we both agreed to treat valentines as a normal day and not get anything for each other and just make it special for the kids, so any way, I worked a 5am-5pm shift on valentines, Matt had picked mylee up earlier that day and brought her to his house to play with his two girls, so after work i went straight to his house, he had made me a delicious steak dinner (his steaks are the best ever!) I was sneaky (or so i thought) and made him some chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate/caramel cover pretzles, and i got little bags of goodies for the three girls, i just set them down for the time being. Well durning dinner Matt asked if we wanted to do the gift exchages, so the kids yelled yeah!!! So i went and got the girls their bags of goodies and gave matt his plates of goodies, and the girls said that they had something for me and they wanted me to close my eyes, so I did, and they came upstairs with a new set of golf clubs for me. I looked at matt and said, I thought we wern't supposed to do anything for each other, (although, he had mentioned earlier that he wanted to get me some so we could go golfing together for dates.) So i said thanks and gave him a hug and a kiss, then the girls said okay now the gift from us, they said close your eyes again, then when they came upstairs this time, they said open your eyes, so I did, and Matt was on his knee, and the girls had the ring in their hands and said "will you marry our daddy?" Of course i jumped up and gave him a huge hug and kiss, and he asked "so does that mean yes?" I said of course it does!!! Then he had to show me his "little funny" about the proposal, he had earlier asked me to go with him to look at rings, and I told him that he could just give me a string, and I would be happy (Ring shopping makes me nervous, if i see the price tag i freak out, so i refuse to go) but any way when he gave me my golf clubs he got me a golfing glove and he had me try it on, so i did, and apparently he had made a ring out of yarn, but i didn't notice so he had to point it out to me after the proposal, i loved that he did that! Anyway, that is my story it was perfect, i loved how Matt included the girls in the proposal. I am the luckiest girl in the world to be blessed to marry the most amazing guy ever, he is such a great dad to both his girls as well as Mylee, and he treats me better than i could ever ask for! Oh one more adorable thing that happened, we had the three girls call my mom to tell her the news, and when they called her they said, Hey grandma, guess what, our mommy and daddy our getting married! It was so cute, and of course my mom cried and was so happy. Oh and ever since the proposal Mylee keeps saying she is going to marry Matt and the girls, i keep telling her, no mommy is going to marry Matt, and the girls are going to be your sisters, she gets so excited and dances, everytime we pass the temple she says thats where I am getting married, I love how her mind works, it so cute! Anyway as far as dates go for the wedding we don't have that quite decided yet, we have a few dates in the air we are tossing around, its hard because we have to work around my school schedule, plus i have to give steve so much time to write his letter for the sealing between us to be cancelled, so I can be sealed to Matt, becuase even though the divorce has been finalized for over 2 years they don't break the sealing until the women remarries. So i'll keep all of you posted when we choose the date that works best! :)

Jazz Game

So Matt and I went along with all the kids from the Roy boys and girls club to the jazz game last night against the spurs, the Jazz unfortunately lost but it was so much fun looking at the joy on the kids faces as they got to watch the game, Carlos Boozer is a huge boys and girls club fan and he supplied the tickets along with t-shirts for everbody that says Boozers Buddies! These kids at the club are so amazing! Matt is the Director over the club and I love to watch him with all of these kids, he is so amazing, he truely loves his job and all of the kids, and all of the kids equally love him back! I am so blessed to have such a great guy in my life with a big enough heart to do all of the wonderful things he does for these kids! I love you Matt!
