Fish Farm Field Trip!

For Mylee's preschool they do a field trip once a month this month we went to the fish farm! Mylee invited her cousins Emily and Allie to come along with us!

Mylee holding her first catch! She was so brave to hold it, and she did really well. She really liked holding it until it wiggled and then she threw it on the ground and was a little nervous after that.

Well they clean and fillet the fish for you which is awesome, so when we were done we came home and cooked them up for dinner. They tasted great! The day was tons of fun the kids loved it, mylee actually caught a fish all by herself she was just playing around dipping her fishing line in and out of the water and actually caught a fish she was so excited. Thanks Amber and girls for coming with us!

Weekend with my sister!

So my sisters husband owns an outdoor store called the summit shop, specializing in skis, snowboards, camping climbing ect. it is an awesome store, however this time of year he does alot of traveling to ski swaps and such. So needless to say, my sis gets quite lonely. So she invited Mylee and I to stay over last weekend with her and her house in Eden. Mylee and Emily had so much fun together! Friday we made cinnimon rolls and the girls helped out plenty!

Then we all played duck duck goose. The girls had tons of fun but they didn't want to wait until they were called on the goose, they wanted to chase or be chased constantly, but they enjoyed themselves anyway!

Then the next day the girls played in the tall grass by my sisters house.

They played for quite a while in the grass pretending to be Simba and Mufasa from the lion king. It was so much fun to watch them play.

Then we decided to go for a hike up a trail that isn't too far from my sisters house. We went a couple of miles and the girls never complained. They loved the hike and enjoyed looking for skat along the way! I know you are all jealous of that.

Well then at the end of the hike I found a prayingmantus {I am sure that that isn't spelled right, but it will have to do.} I put it on Mylees arm to hold it, she thought it was the coolest thing ever until it decided to climb up her arm and start poking her face, oh man i got the best picture of this, I laughed so hard, it has also come to be one of Mylee's favorite pictures, she thinks she is so funny everytime she looks at it because everybody else laughs when they see the picture.

Hilarious!!! I loved it. Anyway thanks Amber for letting us keep you company. We had tons of fun!

Mylee's first day of preschool

So Mylee started preschool on Tuesday, she was so excited! I personally can't believe how fast time goes by, I can't believe my baby is already at preschool age. Well tuesday was a get to know the teachers day, her teachers had a little carnival set up for them so that they could play games and have a good time, after the games they showed the kids the classroom and gave them a choice of colored paper crayons that they could decorate. Mylee really enjoyed this activity they had us glue the same color of paper torn into little pieces and glue them onto the paper crayon, mylee loved this, she did get a little glue happy though, she would use the whole bottle of glue if I let her. Mylee already made a few new friends and is very excited for today because it is her second day at preschool!

Peach Days parade and the giant princess pumpkin!

So last saturday Mylee and I went to the Peach Days Parade in Brigham City, we had a great time, mylee loved to watch all of the floats go by, and she loved all of the free candy and toys that she got! Every time people would pass playing a musical instrument she would start to dance and sing, she was so funny! After the parade we were walking back to our car and this old guy came up to us and started talking to mylee and asked her if she wanted to see a magical pumpkin, he said that it was so magic that it was growing really big because it wants to become cinderella princess carriage. Then he asked her if she was a princess and Mylee said "Yes, i'm a princess" the he said well do you want to see the magic pumpkin? So he took us back to his garden to see his magic pumpkin!

He said that this pumpkin weighs 716 lbs. It is huge, last year he said they had a 942 lb. pumpkin, during halloween they carve a jack-o-lanter face out of it, and carve a small door in the back so kids can go inside of them. I thought that it was awesome, Mylee loved it after we left all she talked about was the princess pumpkin.

So my sisters Amber and Heidi both play golf and every time they go I hear about how much fun they had, so I decided that I wanted to give it a try! Well Heidi and I went and hit a bucket of balls at toad's then a week later me, Amber and Heidi went to swan lakes and golfed. It was so much fun! I loved it, I must say that I am probably the worst golfer in existence, but I really enjoyed myself! The course had a total par of 31, well I got 75... Yeah I suck that bad :( But I still enjoyed myself, and I am excited for the next time i get to go. Hopefully I will be a little better, apparently because I hit the ball so often it took a long time, well one of the employees drove her golf cart up to us and told us that we needed to hurry up our game because they were starting to get backed up. Oops!

Mylee is a big sister

So mylee's dad and his wife just had a little girl, mylee is so excited to be a big sister, when i picked her up after she went and spent the weekend with her new sister she kept saying "i have a baby sister, ooh she is so cute" it is adorable, i am so excited for her to be able to have a sibling. It makes me sad because i would love to be able to give her a sibling, but thats not going to be any time soon, so I am glad that she will have someone to play with while she is at her dads. They named her Elsie May Burgess. Mylee and I went and got her a cute little outfit and toy. Steve is going to email me pictures soon, i will post them when i get them!

Camping and mount timpanogas

This last weekend we went on a family camping trip, and then went to mount timpanogas and hiked up the mountain and went into the caves. Camping was a blast, and mylee did awesome on the hike. I was so proud of her! What a trooper.
My brother found a snake at our campground, the girls thought it was pretty cool! I am so glad that we got to get away on at least one camping trip this year. School is back in and it is back to work. :( oh well thats life!

New workout video

So I got this new workout video, it is only 20 minutes long, but it kicks your butt, she is one of the trainers from the t.v. show the biggest loser and she is amazing, anyway I love this workout video and recommend it to everyone. My favorite part is that it is only 20 minutes so i can fit it into my busy schedule. If you try it be prepared to be sore.

Our trip to Washington

My aunt flew mylee and I down to washington state from May 1-11 to watch her kids while she and her husband went to washington d.c on vacation. We had a blast, mylee loved the airplane, and the ocean alot, we went and visited the seattle aquarium and we drove around and looked around everywhere, it is beautiful there. My aunt has lives on camanoe island and has ocean front property so we went to the ocean alot. They also have a trout pond in there front yard, that you can go kiaking in, it was way fun. My uncle gave does alot of fishing in alaska and he also goes crabing alot, so we were in heaven with all the salmon, halibut, and crab we could eat! My uncle is also an awesome cook, and he taught me how to make this fantastic stew meat that melts in your mouth and these fantastic crab omelets, they were so good! Anyway we had a ton of fun and are glad to be back!
